Greg Bowe

The lecture was really entertaining. I never thought that an English teacher could be so open and understanding on the mix match situation of languages. I was surprised in the fact that he liked the song "Chongalicious"; it totally shocked me when he gave examples from the lyrics and that he actually brought the video, although he did not show it to the class. I think is amazing how calm and wasn't alarmed he reacts to this concept of the Spanglish, and specially coming from someone like him that he only speaks English. I noticed that he is passionate about different cultures and languages. He demonstrates that he is not afraid of change, or combination of different culture. Also he exposes himself to this kind of rebellion and barrier between languages because he chooses to.Another thing that I want to point out is that he is a very understanding teacher that does not pay attention to little mistakes and tries to correct those little errors in a pacific non-insulting manner. I think that teachers like Bowe, that are so open to change is what this Latin community needs.
